Real People. Real Published Writing.

They did it. Now you can too.

Join the next cohort

You've been wanting to write online for YEARS, but you always find a reason to delay.

You have plenty of ideas but none of them feel "good enough" to publish.

You have 10+ drafts sitting in your notes app that have never seen the light of day.

You sit down to write and stare at the blank page, unsure where to even start.

You spend hours editing and re-editing a piece until you hate it — then never publish it.

You're afraid of putting yourself out there — What if people judge you? What if your writing isn’t good enough?

Sound familiar?

You're not lazy. You're not untalented. You're not "too busy."

Writing on your own is hard. Writing with a community is easy.

You don't need to feel “ready enough” to write.

All you need is accountability and support to actually do what you've been putting off: writing your piece and hitting publish.

Here's the thing…

What happens when you finally hit publish?

Become a real writer

You'll have your writing exist online. Real, published pieces. Not a list of essay ideas in your notes app. Actual writing that people can read.

That's a bigger deal than it sounds. Because once you have published your work, you're no longer someone who "wants to start writing." You're a writer. Full stop.

Silence the Doubt

When someone asks what you've been working on, you won't say "I've been meaning to start..." You'll say "Here’s my latest post."

And that voice in your head, the one that says you never follow through? It gets a lot quieter when you've got the receipts.

Attract Opportunities

And the best part about putting yourself out there is that doors start to open. People find you. Conversations start.

Opportunities appear that you never thought possible. All because you finally became visible.

We’re not here to just teach new concepts. We’re here to provide you with everything you need to finally become a writer.

That’s what Act Two is for.

The world has changed.

Endless information. AI superpowers at our fingertips.

We're entering the Golden Age of Creativity.

There's just one bottleneck left: the mind. Ancient biology holds us hostage: hesitations, doubts, self-sabotage. How many essays, newsletters, and books have stayed trapped in someone's head thanks to these pesky psychological blocks?

Act Two exists to help you break through.

But why us?

First, we built Write of Passage, the gold standard of online writing courses: 3,100 students from 75+ countries shared their ideas onto the Internet in the program we built.

And we both have track records of creative follow-through. Will became a standup comedian in China after thousands of hours of practice. Dan created a vibrant community of woodworkers and rebuilt his entire house from scratch.

In Act Two, we’ll help you get your best ideas out into the world and attract opportunities you would’ve never imagined.

So, what will you write?

Change your life with Act Two

We don’t teach step-by-step how-tos. Because you don't need more information — you've already got YouTube and ChatGPT for that.

What you need is a forcing function.

Act Two exists to provide you the accountability, community, and structure you need to take your first steps in becoming a prolific writer.

This is not a course…

How It Works

What do you actually want to write about? Not what you think you "should" write, but the one topic that naturally lights you up.

01

Anchor to the Internal

Craft your one-sentence pitch. What do you write about and why should people care? Battle-test it with real feedback from other writers.

02

Get Legible to Others

Stop planning. Start publishing. You’ll go from 0 → 1 on your project, and get ideas out into the world. No overthinking. Just action.

03

04

Attack the Canvas

Explore Your Pocket

As you take action, you’ll start finding the pocket of the Internet who most wants what you’ve got. Find the others, start reaching out, and connect with your future readers.

05

Hone Your Practice

As the cohort ends, set yourself up for ongoing consistency over the long haul. You’ll build a sustainable writing rhythm that lasts beyond the 4 weeks.

Most writing courses overwhelm you with tactics: hooks, templates, content strategy, monetization.

These are all useful down the line, but they will only overwhelm you at the start.

None of these tactics matter unless you actually write and publish.

In our first cohort, we’ve had 50+ aspiring creators finally launch projects they'd been sitting on for YEARS.

If you've consumed countless articles, courses, and videos about writing online but still haven't published, Act Two offers the accountability and community you've been missing.

But it requires commitment. You'll need to show up, do the work, and be willing to publish before you feel ready. If you're ready for that, we'd be honored to help you become a writer.

Act Two Is Not For You If:

You're only looking for hacks and shortcuts to avoid putting in the real work

You're not willing to share your work with others

You're not open to honest feedback, even if it helps improve your work

You’re only in it for the money and don’t care about writing something meaningful

    3. Monday, March 16th

  • We designed Act Two for people with full-time commitments. Don't quit your job. Don't cancel your plans. You can complete Act Two on your nights and weekends. Expect to give 5-10 hours per week toward your writing. A focused time investment with power-law returns.

  • Here’s what we learned from our students: You'll never fully feel ready. That’s totally normal, and it’s okay. As long as you have the conviction to finally start writing online, we've got you covered on the rest. Act Two exists to help you take your first steps even when you don’t feel ready yet.

  • Good writing comes from practice, not talent. The goal isn't to become a great writer. It's to keep writing and sharing your work online. Only then will you get valuable feedback that helps you get better day by day.

  • Not at all. Most of our students come in feeling unsure about their topic. That's exactly what we tackle in Week 1 – finding the thing that lights you up and you can’t help writing about.

  • We're platform-agnostic. Use whatever feels right for you. Substack for newsletters. LinkedIn for building a personal brand. Maybe your own personal website. The platform matters less than actually publishing. But if you’re really curious, you’ll be able to talk shop with other writers and find what works best for you.

  • Most writing courses teach you strategy and tactics. That's useful later on, but none of it matters unless you actually start writing. Act Two focuses on the hardest part about the craft: actually getting your writing out into the world. You can optimize later, but the most important thing right now is to start.

  • Because you won't be doing it alone anymore. Writing alone is hard. Writing with a community makes it easy. You'll have accountability partners, weekly check-ins, and a whole cohort of people cheering you on. That's what makes the difference.

  • Yes, you can pay 3 monthly installments of $300 when you buy during the early bird period.

  • Is there a type of writing you've been wanting to try but feel nervous about? Maybe you want to start a newsletter but keep putting it off. Maybe you want to write more personal essays. If you have a writing project you've been putting off, you'd be a great fit.
